trip and toss the blame
at someone else again.
patience came with the sunrise
but the evening got wise
and chipped away mine.
set down our articles of faith.
sad sad good-bye to wave.
i now have no more space
to fit your ghosts into.
does that touch you?
this day you've replayed.
tied up ringing in our ears
i recall it all disappears
when morning marches on
downstairs.
spirit presses for trial
with little monster denials.
sleeping stoned
sour bones.
buried in a dozen backyards
this day you've replayed.

Marie's Song #3
02:30

show me a wall
much too high.
not ready at all
you tell me to climb.
push and pull
we all get tired.
these hands too full
walk away awhile.
then i knew
what i had to know.
but it was much too
late to show
that i was the yawning company.
morning doesn't come early.
anywhere in anytime
i admire you.

Fever
02:35
|
|||
always in the
attic dust bin.
preserve the sameness
of how it's been.
pick, panic, and then refuse,
but during a fever
i improve.
the more sleep
the less time alone.
wasting the day
pounding stone.
pick, panic, and then refuse,
but during a fever
i improve.
now to season
after dreaming lessens.
turn the feeling
into impressions.
pick, panic, and then refuse,
but during a fever
i improve.

Music House
02:28
|
|||
what a shame to fall
through the floor
you took time to trust.
dark and bent-up
rusty nails
jab and can't discuss
flaws in frame-work
over time
that have come to be.
do we move away
re-build or disguise
where we sat to see
the guilt that's rainin' and a leanin'
from the gaps that were given
by a lost path family?
'cause i catch the scent
of free and finer strength
are questions still good for me?
i grew to play
and love the days
that mold melody into night.
sparks light shinin' bright,
windows open to outside,
hissin' hireling improvisin'.
deep in the yellow walls,
paper, glue, and flies
are truths i deny.
a bitter little boy,
another broken toy,
leaned off to one side.
shootin' the lonely guns
of sorry ones
feeding bitter bullet fears.
the desperate lessons leave
in decreasin' breath you breathe
a cold confused batch of years.
in and out over noise,
this laughin' band,
like therapy,
is this house of music,
i can't lose it
but is hearin' still good for me?
i grew to hurt
and made a worthless
while wearing shadow glaze
not knowin' right or wrong
or the difference between the days.
so is it me or you
that's being untrue?
no clear room to investigate.
wound so tastelessly tight
with no desire to fight
but if that's what it's gonna take,
i'll move me away
to the patient
love of the sea,
which in time i'll find, i found
the waves explain around
stoned stalemate history.
i'll try patching the holes
with a fragile soul -
a temporary security -
to stabilize these hollow eyes
singin' and cryin' out of hidin'
but is healing still good for me?
i'll welcome the scary faces
in the rooms of my places
for their wiser older fortune.
seeing joys and frownin'
that bathe shame's stitches poundin' -
sincere will carries open.

Rain In Waves
02:42
|
|||
i think the birds are decaying in the wall
crumbled inside the window frame
of this layered wall paper room.
i believe we're all as slight as rain
feeding on stories
that are vain and boring.
i feel to resent
the thieves who stole the guards
and free'd the cold rain to play
in our hearts
i work the levers and wheels and how i run.
tickled lonely song stay
like shadows, shade, and friends.
we fall and cross the eyes, cancel the core.
when your lost in waves
you may know well.
i feel to resent
the thieves who stole the guards
and free'd the cold rain to play
in our hearts
again

Big Loud Heart
02:28
|
|||
slow night
fantastic day
relaxed is the smile
in me today
it's all about you
your big loud heart
ooohhhh!
you give it away
your belly shakes
no one could make
any mistake
about your laugh
my heart swells
i close my eyes
i welcome you.
oh, if you'd welcome me...
the sunsets and moons
we both try to see
your big loud heart
ooohhh!
